Complaint Timetable:
You should notify in writing the person/organisation (service provider) against whom you are making the complaint of discrimination, of the following: The nature of the allegation Your intention, if not satisfied with the response received, to seek redress by referring the case to the Director of Equality Tribunal And you may also in that notification: Ask any questions to obtain material information with a view to helping you to decide whether to refer the case to the Director Note: If the Director of the Tribunal is satisfied that a reasonable cause prevented you from notifying the service provider within 2 months, this period may be extended to 4 months by the Director. You need to apply for this extension.
Stage 2: You should wait to pursue your claim further until either:
You have received a response to your notification or At least 1 month has elapsed since the date of notification
Stage 3: Within 6 months of the date of the incident:
If you are not satisfied with the service provider’s response, or if they have made no response within 1 month from the date of the notification, and you wish to pursue the complaint, you should send a completed ES 3 form to the Director of the Tribunal.
